▌Biography
Dr. DuckYoung Kim earned his Ph.D. from Uppsala University, Sweden, in 2009. He worked as a post-doctoral fellow at the Cavendish Laboratory, University of Cambridge (2009-2011), and at the Carnegie Institution for Science in Washington, DC (2011-2014), where he later became a research scientist (2014-2015). In late 2015, Dr. Kim joined HPSTAR as a staff scientist, leading the computational condensed matter theory group.
▌Research Interest
His research focuses on predicting novel materials under extreme conditions and understanding their physical properties, with a particular interest in low-dimensional materials with exotic properties and geophysical studies of planetary interiors.
