Title: Exploring novel superconductors by chemical doping and chemical pressure

Time: 10:00 - 11:00am, April 27, Monday
Place: Conference room 201, Building 6, HPSTAR (Shanghai)
Host: Xiao-Jia Chen

Abstract:

Chemical pressure induced by element substitutions has played a crucial role in the new unconventional superconductors, i.e., iron-based pnictides, BiS-based sulfides, and recently discovered A2Cr3As3 quasi-1D systems (A=K, Rb, Cs). The investigation on the chemical pressure and quantum criticality in FeAs-based superconducting, i.e., P-doped 1111-type CeFeAsO systems, two superconducting domes in RFeAs1-xPxO (R=La, Pr etc) systems, and Kondo breakdown quantum criticality in CeNiAs1-xPxO system will be presented. The anomalous chemical pressure effect in Se-doped Eu3Bi2S4F4 and the pressure effect on superconductivity in the recently-discovered A2Cr3As3 will also be presented.
