Abstract:
Volatile elements exert important control on (almost) all igneous and metamorphic processes on Earth. Whilst the deep element cycles of water and carbon are well understood, there is only little known about the behaviour of fluorine in the deep Earth. Hence, we conducted a series of experimental and geochemical studies to investigate the storage potential of fluorine in ordinary mantle minerals, the effect of fluorine on mantle mineral stabilities, and the deep geochemical cycles of fluorine in relation to the other volatile elements.Attached, you can find his publications.
